Twin Hoop Players Announce They Are Transferring From Maryland - Their Mom Instantly Takes To Twitter To Blast Mark Turgeon For 'Forcing Them Out'

Let's check in on how things are going in College Park and oh, okay, just a mom out here blasting Mark Turgeon. Nothing to see, I suppose. Now on one side I know what people will say. 'She shouldn't say anything. Her kids weren't nearly as good as they were supposed to be. It's their fault.' I get that, because it does appear that way - even though you can't really name one player that Turgeon has improved during his time at Maryland.

On the other side she's blasting him for not being honest. She blasts him for really only wanting one of the twins but reluctantly taking both. Can't say that's surprising considering one was a top-70 recruit and the other was top-200. She's blasting him for lying about playing time and guarantees. Can't say that's surprising since that's called recruiting. Either way this isn't ideal for Mark Turgeon since people who are already fed up with him can use this as even more ammo.

You know what else? I love the move here. I say it all the time. I'm sick of people doing the same old boring coach speak. Give me this shit. Give me a mom that's pissed off about rumors that her kids are transferring because they got in a fight going after their coach. Put it all on the table so people have to talk about it.

Here's the thing. Maryland fans are starting to get sick of Mark Turgeon - due to the lack of success on the court. I've talked about it numerous times, but he just complicate things way too much for his team. He overcoaches instead of letting his team play. He doesn't ever have them prepared enough (more on that in a second). He doesn't improve his team as the year goes on mostly. They just end up being the same team from a talent perspective as everyone else gets better. That's why they can't get past the Sweet 16.

I really wish she threw in a dig on him not having any idea how to practice inbounds plays:

“[Purdue’s] execution is so good. They’ve got their February playbook in. They’ve got a lot of plays in. It’s hard for a normal team to have that many in, and they’ve got a veteran team too,” Turgeon said. “They’re just much further along and they executed at a really high level, and they’re well-coached.”
